Luxury Bed & Breakfast Accommodation

Our especially designed, purpose built luxury bed and breakfast lodge is located in tranquil garden surroundings in Flaxmill Bay, close to Cooks Beach and Whitianga, on the Coromandel Peninsula.

Flaxhaven Lodge is ideally located to explore the Mercury Bay area. Walk to any of four beautiful beaches or along to the Whitianga ferry. Drive less than 15 mins to Cathedral Cove Marine Reserve, Hahei and Hot Water Beach.

We offer luxury bed & breakfast accommodation either in a semi-self contained cottage or in the B&B guest wing of the house.  Both B&B options have quality fittings, ensuite bathrooms, separate lounge, views of the gardens, private entrances and car parking. 

Environmentally Friendly Accommodation

At our bed & breakfast lodge, we embrace sustainability. Organically sourced foods or those fresh from our own gardens are our preference for the cooked or continental breakfasts we provide. To help provide the basics, we have solar water heating, deep bore and natural rainwater and a sustainable wastewater system.

We are also proud members of @home New Zealand for quality assessed, friendly Hosted Bed & Breakfast Accommodation. As past owners of an award winning café, breakfasts are our specialty served either in our large sunny kitchen or outdoors on the patio or as an alternative, Continental Breakfast provisions can be arranged in the Cottage.

We accommodate two people in a Semi self Contained Cottage,
and two (or three) in the Guest Wing suite.
